Brothers Sami and Pasi Nurmela from Ranua run high-security technology services in Rovaniemi. At Seniortek, the focus is on housing solutions for the elderly, while Minesec specializes in demanding industrial environments.

Minesec, a high-tech security equipment and service provider, offers its CR secure communication system as a complementary solution to the national authority network Virve. The CR system functions as an organization’s own private safety network and is also well suited for coordinating and securing volunteer operations.

Few security buyers know how to demand customer-oriented, comprehensive and scalable security systems. Security service providers can be divided into two categories: technology providers and security operations. Separately, these form a controlled and effective security concept.

The municipality of Savukoski has implemented the new-generation wireless SenioriTurva Iisi personal security system at the Saukoti 24-hour care housing unit. The system provides real-time updates on residents’ movements, allows scheduled alerts, and includes an integrated remote intercom that makes it easier to identify individuals and manage entry.

Digitalisation adds value to the property lifecycle. In the e-Spaces service concept, the facility serves people—both as users and as managers.

In 2021, the municipality of Liminka adopted the e-Spaces facility management system by Minesec, a company based in Rovaniemi. Within two years, the number of satisfied residents using sports facilities has grown to 1,400.

The sports services of the municipality of Sodankylä have gone digital with access control. Mobile identifier-based access rights were introduced in January 2022 and have been well received by both users of the Kitisenranta gym and sports instructors.

The need for a new facility booking system arose in Liminka when the municipality decided to improve sports services for residents. Another goal was to increase the utilisation rate of municipal sports facilities. With the help of Seniortek’s e-Spaces booking system, these objectives set by the municipality of Liminka were successfully achieved.
